Au Premier Coup Society

A new group of professional artists has recently formed with the primary purpose of exhibiting and promoting the work of its members. All the members are full-time painters working in oils, watercolors and/or pastels who believe in the value of painting from life (hence the French name referring to direct painting).  Subject matter of the group is varied and includes landscape, cityscape, still life, figurative and more.  There was an exhibition of the group's work at the Thurburn Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas in June, 2001.
